Heading back to Bali

Gede's mom and his sister

January 2..... we're off to Denpasar, Bali.  Our flight is at 0935, but because Jakarta's traffic wasn't exactly smooth, we left the house at 0630.  We hung out at the airport for a little bit and the flight leave on time..... as expected ^^ Maybe Air Canada needs to learn from this....... The flight was short, only a little under 2 hours.  Our friend Ady came to pick us up all the way from Munduk.  The trip there was around 3 hours.  A little bit of a traffic jam near road construction,  although nothing like Jakarta.  On route, as we're getting closer to Munduk, we can feel the change of altitute through the ear popping sensation, also, the roads gets foggier.
Before we head to Munduk, we visited one of the kid that needs sponsorship, his name is Gede, so he could still go to school.  His parents, his baby sister and him lives in a bare minimum hut.  The floor of the house made of dirt, he shared a matress with his father and his mother sleeps with the baby, and I didn't see any kitchen nor bathroom.  He said he wants to be a school teacher when he grows up.  Dad works for a little money to support them all.  His mom is a sweetheart, I can tell she loves her children dearly and her children loves her despite of the living condition.  Another example of love goes beyond any material ownership.  They kept apologizing for not having anyplace to sit for us.  He will be one of the children we will try to help with the donations we got from Japan and money I got from University Hospital emergency department and Saskatoon MD ambulance.
We ended the night hangin out with our friend Nyoman Bagiada.  I met Nyoman almost 1 year ago when I accidently came to this village and he was one of the nicest guy I ever met.  We connect through our wish to help others, and that's how he got to know Shinji and we're trying to help as many children as possible in this village.  Nyoman's family also great and very friendly.  At the end of the night, I have no more energy to even power this brain of mine...... so tired and ready to retire for the night.
